SF Pipeline roadmap
Future work on SF Pipeline will be heavily influenced by feature
requests and feedback from users. If you would like to see the site
improve in a particular way, please send me an email message at
ryantate@ryantate.com!
I already have some ideas on how SF Pipeline will evolve. The beta
release of the site, May 17, 2007, came before I could implement all
of the features I would ultimately like to see in the application. A
basic outline of where I see things going follows below.
Again, this is only a rough guide.

- Advanced Search
- Filter by completion date
- Filter dates within range
- Filter by developer, owner, manager
- Filter by size
- Housing units
- Hotel units
- Leasable square feet (office, retail, industrial)
- Height (in feet, floors)
- Attach photos to projects
Two or three releases away
- Oakland and other cities (East Bay, Peninsula)
- Checkbox to show only projects since last visit
- API
- Special markers and auto-opened info windows for significant new
projects since your last visit
- More unit tests (internal)
- Email editor(s) when new project, update or news submitted

- Smarter handling of duplicate news links (internal)
More than three releases away
- Track project architects, general contractors, engineers
- Track project cost
- Slider controls!
- Remember visitor name/email for submission forms
- Smarter and shorter tab labels for addresses with multiple
